Kristen McCord

Kristen grew up in sunny Los Angeles, singing along with the radio in her backyard where she pretended the handle of her Dad’s tall trash can dolly was a microphone. Her family included actors and musicians, and she loved being on sets and on the road. When Kristen was 11 years old, her Dad taught her how to play G, D, and A on one of Ricky Nelson’s old nylon string guitars, and that was the beginning of her songwriting career. Kristen’s early songs included dreamy love ballads about David Cassidy and Luke Skywalker.

In school and beyond, Kristen wrote songs, sang, and played guitar in bands while working in television and film production for Stephen Cannell, Joel Silver, and Brandon Tartikoff. She wrote the theme song to the short-lived TNT series Weekly World News, and scored two movies with filmmaker and producer Rico Martinez.

In 2013, Kristen met Daniel and they started singing and writing together. When they realized they had more than enough material for a full-length album, Kristen and Daniel formed Silver Sister with Greg in 2017.
